What to see/What to do

A sight that any visitor to Oviñana shouldn’t miss is Cabo Vidio (Cape Vidio), an impressive cliff of almost 100 m, from where you can make out Cabo Peñas eastwards and Galicia westwards.

In its surrounding areas, beautiful rock beaches (Cueva, Peñadoria) constitute other interesting sights to visit, especially Vallina beach with its whirlpools and falls.

Another charm of the area is, undoubtedly, its gastronomy. In the local restaurants you can taste typical dishes of our sea and our land: Asturian fabada, different types of seafood, meat dishes (such as escalopines al Cabrales), different types of locally caught fish and typical Asturian desserts.

Only 10 km away is Cudillero, a typical fishing village and capital of the area. Riding, quad or boat routes are organised from here. Very close from Cudillero, in El Pito, you can visit the Palacio Selgas, former residence of the Selgas-Fagalde family, which contains numerous works of art on its walls and boasts its beautiful gardens, known as the “Asturian Versailles”.
